Meet our Pastor

 

 

Pastor Omar Montilla was born in the Dominican Republic in 1990. He is one of three brothers from an Adventist family. From an early age felt God's call to become a minister and prepared himself to study theology at the Dominican Adventist University, graduating “Magna Cum Laude” at the age of 21. Later Served as chaplain and district pastor in the rural area of Changuinola (North of Panama) and felt the need for further preparation, so he went to Andrews University and completed his Master of Divinity. After his masters, was called to serve in the City of Panama, so he returned to the country and served for five years as senior pastor, youth director for the conference, and Evangelism advisor for the Union. He also met and married his best friend and companion, Grettell. They have been happily married and served for three years and ten months. He considers himself a pastor interested in creating sustainable growth for the church, developing its membership, and making its spiritual growth the principal focus in its ministry. He loves to read, cook, run and preach. Currently, pastor Omar serves in the Gulf States Conference and is finishing his Doctorate in Ministry.
